Recent works shown here were created to 14 different versions of the song made popular by The Everly Brothers titled “Let It Be Me.” Composed by Gilbert Bécaud and Pierre Delanoë, originally published in French in 1955 as "Je t'appartiens." Aside from this single musical inspiration, MuKha’s influences include not only the landscape and mountains surrounding her studio but those unseen from an internal experience.

My first form of art expression was through photography. I was 15 when I saw the coffee table size book Linda’s Pictures [Linda McCartney] in a bookstore and the idea that one could grow up and become a photographer or an artist set in. I started taking photos with the family 126 Kodak Instamatic. Through my black & white photos I developed my love of portraiture, beginning with children as subject matter. By the time I got to digital photography I turned to color and landscapes, which I continue to explore, many of which also inspire new paintings.
